I dressed up in an insanely cute outfit today - I even dared to wear heels! (I live on a very hilly campus so that means a lot.) But I didn't even get to see him today D: He won't get to see how nice I look today because I'm working all night! Sigh, wasted efforts on a hopeless crush...

Ketchup, I don't like mustard.
Soooooo... I'm just going to make one really long post filled with all the old pictures from the past couple weeks I never posted. I'm lazy haha.
First batch: The Timeflies Concert! Woooo! That was fun. We walked around and got lost (though I pretended that I knew where I was going because.. you can't not know where you're going in Boston when you're with your suburban friends who don't know anything about Boston; they start to doubt you lol). We dressed up too much. We waited in line for an hour or so then for another hour and a half inside because they were having tech probs. Good thing we got crappy seats in the stadium cuz at least we got to sit down lol. It was really fun though. We ate Bertucci's, and had Emack & Bolio's, and I saw a cut-off shirt that was being sold for $20 (rip off, much?). Then Malcolm dropped us off back to school, after driving around the world for my cousin Richard of course. But Richard and Malcolm were soo funny so it was okay.
Best quotes of the night: "pikliz pepper spray" (Haitian joke) and "I survived Rape Towers 2012... Ask me about it"
Oh! And Cal freestyled about my high school (BLA) to "Space Jam". I was soooo excited ^_^
Second batch: All the stupid random stuff I did last week. I bought a 1D puzzle for my friend's little sis and made a really cool border. I put so much effort into it... and she's not even that close to me. Says a lot about my personality, huh? Then I painted my nails because I was procrastinating. But they look cool! I tried that newspaper thing but it didn't really come out that well so I took it off and tried to do a Batman symbol instead, that came out ehh. But my NoFace is cool! :D And I tried doing Totoro but he looks like an owl :\ I still got quite a few compliments on it. That, and my hair since I'd tried a new hairstyle. It looked like I shaved half of my head. But apparently it looked good so whatev.
Last batch: I wore a cute outfit... some day I can't remember. I turned quite a couple heads, I felt good :)

How I Met Your Mother
I've been watching this show for the past couple of weeks now and I'm surprised that it's so good! I'm in the second season now and there have been a couple episodes that I couldn't stop laughing at. Season 2, episodes 5 ("World's Greatest Couple") and 16 ("Stuff") are my absolute favorites so far.
No wonder it's been going on for seven seasons now, it's so funny! Neil Patrick Harris, of course, has a huge part in that. He basically makes the show :) He's an amazing actor too, I never would've guessed he was gay had I not read it online previously.
So, today hasn't been legendary, but it was pretty fun. I drove around with my Mom for more than an hour and she barely yelled at me! She even let me drive her, her friend, and my Grandmama to go visit my Grandpa. I think she's starting to trust me in her car haha. She said that all I need to do now is practice parallel parking and I'll be all set for the driver's test to get my license. True story.
I didn't suit up, but I did wear this
While leaving PriceRite with my Mom I saw someone I went to middle school with working there! Talk about blast from the past...
For those of you who don't really know me, I love candy. For some reason I've been on this sugar craze lately so I've been buying and eating lots of candy. It's probably not the best for my teeth or health in general, but whatevs. I plan on working it all off by riding my bike or jogging or something later. I got a bag of these guys today
Oh, I hung out with my babies today too. More like watched over them while they snacked on the grass in the lawn...
And one last thing. I found out who my new roommate is! She lives like 10 minutes away from me! Hopefully we can meet up and get to know each other before school starts. The only thing is... I think she's a freshman. Technically I'm in that category too because I didn't get credits for some of my classes, but I think it'll be fun. I can show her around and stuff :)
And that's all in a day of being Cjoe. I'm filled with awesomeness, I know. It's really hard to contain it all when I write these posts haha.

I have no idea what makes them have more of a pretzel taste, but they taste great anyway. They're probably my favorite out of the whole M&M's brand.

Mah Daii
The only noteworthy thing I did today was go around driving with my Mom. Horrible. Not me, just driving with her in the car next to me in general. I'm not sure if it's because she didn't teach anyone of her kids to drive (that's my Dad's "job") or because it's her car and she's extremely scared that I'll crash it, but she is the worst driving instructor. And she has a horrible case of back-seat driver too.
Anyway, I'd planned to go to the library and eat cupcakes and do a bunch of fun stuff today but since I've still yet to receive my first paycheck, I'm stuck doing things that involve spending the least amount of money possible (ie. staying home). So I drove around to the bank, other stores, and my Grandmama's residence home with my Mom. Maybe she doesn't understand that yelling at me every 15 seconds doesn't help me... Or maybe I should just take my Dad's advice. The first day he took me out driving he told me that the way he learned how to drive was he just took his father's car and drove off. I think he was implying that I should take my Mom's car and just go lol.
Even though I mostly sat in hot car, I wore a very cute outfit out today.

July 4th
I didn't get to hang out with the Gang (my cousins) and see the fireworks downtown like I usually get to this year. Sucks, but whatever. I caught a few fireworks behind trees from a few blocks away. Just as good I guess. I spent the majority of my afternoon trying out a new recipe. Cabbage soup. It didn't taste that bad actually. And it was very healthy.
I put cabbage, carrots, celery, rice, pinto and black beans, garlic, tomato sauce, and a bunch of other herbs and spices in it. Most of the time spent on it came from making vegetable stock from scratch since all we had at home was chicken broth. It took a lot of time, effort, and sweat, but it was a success. My mom even tried it, though she said she wouldn't go vegetarian with me.
Later as we were watching the fireworks in the neighborhood, my mom and I saw the moon rise. It was orange. While my mom kept gushing about how pretty it was, all I could think about is how all the smoke and pollution from the Earth's atmosphere made it look that way. How disgusting humans are! How stupid and prideful Americans can be obnoxiously celebrating a single holiday! Sigh, I honestly can't see things ending well for us. It's only a matter of time...
Anyway, the night ended with me and my mom driving around Boston, then leaving when it started pouring. Eventful? Not really, but I got to do a little bonding with my mom. Since she's currently taking time off work, we have more time to do stuff. I talk to her a bit more everyday.
Oh, and on Tuesday I put together a cute little outfit to go grocery shopping with my mom.
I may not have all the clothes I'd like to wear, but I think I'm doing fine with what I have. Fashionnnnn!

Heel Heaven!
Yesterday I went to the mall with my mom and, since she had previously said that I needed new heels to model in, she bought some for me! WOOOOOO!
We went to Nordstrom first. I was shocked they even had my size to be honest (because I wear size... large), but the woman who helped us was so nice. She brought out like five pairs for me to try. I found two that weren't wedges that I liked (wedges are considered "cheating" in YMS). One pair was blue suede, maybe 5 inches, and fierceee priced at $100.
Nice, right? The other pair was a sort of greeny-beige-tan color, around 3 inches, priced at $80. We asked the woman to hold the heels for us then left to try another store. My mom told me to check out Nine West so I went in and much to my surprise the saleswoman said they had my size in just about every heel in the store, all I had to do was pick one out. I was elated, like a kid in a candy store. The heels were sooooo cute! Plus they were having a buy one, get one half off sale. And most of the heels were already 60% off. Heel heaven, that's the only way I can describe it.
I mean, who cares if these heels make me almost a foot taller than I already am? They're gorgeous!
Oh, and I was "window shopping" online yet again and I found another website with cute clothes and accessories: Chicnova. They have that pleated maxi skirt I keep raving about, but they have it in other colors too like blue and red and ... my personal favorite, orange.
One day, when I get this maxi in black I'll wear it with my new heels and a white blouse with silver jewelry... Sigh, fashion fantasies. ♥

My mom would only pay for 2 pairs so I went with these.

The second pair, I found out later, also comes in a caramel/gold color (shown below).
Too cute! Agh!
I did, however, find this one other really nice pair that I will definitely have to go back for. When I put it on I was just mesmerized by how cute it looked on my foot lol.
These come in orange, blue, black, and tan (which is what I would've gotten).

I need a new wardrobe.
I found this website with a bunch of cute, awesome clothes but of course I won't be able to get anything from them.. not yet anyway. :( I would love to dress in flowy, twirly skirts and loose, lacy button up shirts and everything else cute from Chicwish.com. Then again I see a lot of that stuff on LOOKBOOK... Fashion that I will never get to wear. Sigh.
Two things that I would love to get are a pleated maxi skirt and a starfish necklace.
